ABOUT
Summer IFT School (SIFTS) is a one-week summer program typically intended for graduate student considering a career in theoretical physics. The SIFTS program is designed to provide lectures and informal sessions on the latest advances and open questions in various areas of theoretical physics. This year the SIFTS school is dedicated to "Fundamental Aspects of Black Hole Physics".

There will be a registration fee of 100 Euros. The fee will cover all lunches and coffee breaks, and a reception.
The School is open by invitation only to approximately 60 participants. There will be a session devoted to short student presentations. Participants will be encouraged to submit contributions at the time of registration.
Accepted participants are invited to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
RESA, a student dorm management companies has agreed with SIFTS to provide rooms for accepted participants at a discounted rate (~240 euros per person for six nights in a shared double room, including breakfast). Participants will be able to chose their preferred type of room in various RESA dorms, either on campus or in downtown Madrid.
Alternatively, participants can book their own accommodation in other hotels.
Venue
The Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) is located on the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid main campus in Cantoblanco, Madrid, and is easily accessible by train and bus both from downtown Madrid and from the airport (see transportation details).
